SUMMARIZATION

CAAT can literally turn its conceptual index upon itself. By taking a single document and considering that to be the complete index, CAAT can then rearrange the relevant sentences in that document in order of conceptual priority to create a summary. This form of summarization that doesn’t involve outside assistance, nor the development of an abstract summary of the document.

summarizationIn its Summarization mode, CAAT identifies which sentences are the most conceptually similar to the overall document and ranks them in order of relevance. CAAT can either present these relevant sentences as individually ranked from most to least relevant in summary form, or can display highlighted relevant sentences as they occur within the document, and identify how that sentence ranked on a numeric scale. Users can define how many sentences they want these summaries to contain (from one sentence to the entire document).
