INSTANT CONTEXT
CAAT offers a powerful pop-up feature that aids users in finding conceptually similar words or related terms, or to deal with unfamiliar terminology. When a user encounters an interesting or unfamiliar term or phrase, they simply highlight the phrase, or click on a specific term. CAAT immediately returns a pop-up window that shows – in order of relevance – all the conceptually similar words or related terms across the whole index of documents.
CAAT’s Instant Context feature (also known as Keyword Expansion) provides a number of benefits. By finding other relevant words and related terms, this feature will provide additional keywords that should be included in further searches or be listed as valid search terms. Similar features in other search engines only provide keyword derivatives, but CAAT’s deep conceptual analytics provides a true keyword expansion, showing synonyms, acronyms, even code words that are related to the chosen text or word.
Instant Context also aids in navigating documents containing unfamiliar terminology. The list of related terms that CAAT returns will usually give the user with a good understanding of the general meaning of the unfamiliar term. Because CAAT is mathematical and identifies conceptually similar words on its own, the related terms which CAAT finds can span terminology and even language.
