INSTANT CONTEXT
How It Works
CAAT not only identifies nth order relationships between conceptually-similar documents, it also identifies conceptually-related terms for each word across all the documents and words being indexed.
This permits a very powerful feature called Instant Context (also known as Keyword Expansion). CAAT can take a word or phrase and instantly present a list of other words that are conceptually related to that word or phrase. These words are not just variants of that original word – they may be related, ancillary, or even connected only by the context in which they are used.
How it is Used in eDiscovery
Instant Context is like having an assistant combing through documents looking for related keywords or terms that the searchers simply haven’t yet thought of. While it’s simple for people to identify plurals, common misspellings, and synonyms, it’s almost impossible to correlate slang, “buzz-words,” and company-specific terminology. With Instant Context, keyword expansion is as easy as a mouse click.
